Patch notes
Update, October 20
New: Four spells
- Magic Arrow (1st circle): a quick arrow of light that hits as hard far away as up close.
- Lightning (4th circle): calls a bolt down on your target, harder than Fireball.
- Reveal (6th circle): throw light at a spot to find anyone invisible or hidden around it.
- Mass Dispel (7th circle): sends every enemy summon in an area back where it came from.
New: Bows in shops
- The Blacksmith in Bramblewick now sells longbows and crossbows, and the Rookery's Armourer sells longbows.
New: Points for bug reports
- Report bugs in #bug-reports on our Discord. When one is fixed, you earn points. Type /points to see yours.
Carts
- A cart's name now shows its owner's colour, so you can tell whether opening it is a crime.
- A cart left unused for 12 hours falls apart with everything in it, unless it's hitched to a horse or inside your house.
Interface
- Windows, nameplates, buttons and the hotbar now stay on screen: you can't drag them off, and they move back into view when your window gets smaller.
- Auction house messages now show in chat in their own green.
- If you're not using Chrome, the login screen now tells you. Firefox players get a page of fixes to try: https://theoldeworld.com/firefox
Fixes
- Your character no longer glides without walking after going through a gate or taking a dungeon stair.
- Holding the right mouse button no longer bounces you on dungeon stairs or turns you around upstairs.
- Spells, thrown bottles and dropped items land on the floor you point at, upstairs too.
- Brigands and camp fighters who lose sight of their target now fight back against whoever is hitting them.
- Corpses no longer show a tag that belonged to something else, like [Summoned].
- Roads no longer turn yellow at dusk.
- Auction notices no longer garble enchanted item names.
