The world has a lot more to hear: birds by day, the night after dark, wind out in the open, the bustle of town, running water and crackling camp fires, and footsteps that change with the ground under you.
Creatures growl, howl, hiss and cry out when they attack, get hurt or die, and now and then make noise on their own.
Fights sound like what is hitting what: blades, blunt weapons, arrows, claws and fists each have their own hits, and shields ring or knock when they block.
Spells, crafting, mining, chopping, potions and bandages have sounds, and so do the items you move around your bags.
A new look for the night
At night colours fade into a cool moonlit blue, the way your eyes see in the dark, while lamps and fires keep their warm glow.
Dawn and dusk have soft blue light of their own, and the day eases from one look into the next.
Fixes
Your character no longer slides back a little after you stop running.
When the server gets busy, creatures and other players no longer twitch or stutter, and your character no longer gets pulled back.
No more stutter or getting pulled back along house walls, on porches, or at the edge of the world.
You can now step up onto porches in Bramblewick that wouldn't let you climb them before.
