Press \ to target the nearest creature, then ] and [ to step through the others around you. Hold Ctrl (⌘ on a Mac) to pick players instead.
Your target gets a ring at its feet, and a small frame above your technique tiles shows its face, name and health. Point at the frame to find your target in a crowd.
Press ' to attack your target, ; to aim a spell at it, and Backspace to let it go. Healing a friend never changes your target.
Two new tutorial lessons walk you through it, and every key can be changed under Controls.
Other changes
Your words over your head now show in a color of your own, and everyone sees them in it. Pick it with Speech color, under Interface on the Video page of the gear menu.
Hover over any skill to see what it does.
Lumberjacking now gets better as your skill rises.
The Battle Mage class now comes with Healing instead of Inscription.
Searching your bag now finds things by type too: "shield" lists every shield.
Long spell pages in the spellbook now scroll instead of being cut off.
A creature's nameplate now closes on its own when it dies. A player's still reads Dead until they're raised.
The Instant logout status, in an inn or a house you belong to, now has its own icon.
Fixes
The metal a piece is forged from now counts, as it was meant to: Black Steel armor protects more than Copper, and Black Steel weapons hit harder. Before, every metal gave the same armor and damage.
Shields now add their armor to yours. Before, they gave none.
Casting a spell, or being stunned, bound or pinned while running, no longer snaps your character back.
